Apesadumbrado
Por ese sueño que se esconde cuerdo
en la intimidad sin honda raigambre
con la yuxtaposición de una promesa
meciendo a la pasión en prisión
con el aura del dulce hielo
con la canción del velo vano
con el soñar del vuelo bajo
con la vista del cielo curvo...
¡ Apesadumbrado !
La sombra vierte un taciturno roble
con el vigor dorado de mariposa
donde un clavel esclavo espera
la corona del alba roja
en la emoción que palidece
con el quebranto inquieto
del indecible espanto
donde un pétalo la flor estremece...
¡ Apesadumbrado !
¡ Oh, gracia pura de amarga noche !
¡ Oh, desventura injusta del día !
¡ Oh, desencanto infame del cielo !
¡ Oh, desengaño informe del suelo !
Porque la espuma impávida naciendo nieva
Por la espina impóluta artera suerte
Porque la esquina impía destella yerta
Por la escarcha que implora la fértil flama.
