SÍTIO DAS ÁGUAS LENTAS

No sítio das Águas lentas
construíram uma cancela
e eu sigo trilhas poeirentas
pra chegar bem perto dela.

Sei que ela bem cedinho
vai correndo pra janela
e com cuidado e jeitinho
destranca a velha tramela.

Ela finge não me olhar,
mas eu vejo o rosto dela
molhado, por se banhar
com a água da gamela.

Ela disfarça um sorriso
e foge dançando faceira.
E o caipira indeciso
não vai além da porteira.
