O ANCIÃO DA VILA

 

Todo açude mostra uma paz
que na flor d’água é aparente.
Esta calma não me satisfaz,
Mas, tranquiliza toda a gente.

Porém como ancião desta vila,
Me quedo sempre sério e sisudo.
Não desejo ver a água tranquila;
sou carrancudo, mais-que-tudo.
