À noite na fazenda
A lua tem mais luar
As estrelas têm mais brilho
E a noite demora passar
À noite na fazenda
O escuro é mais escuro
O frio é mais frio
E o ar é mais puro
À noite na fazenda
Quando chove. Chove sem parar
O vaga-lume, pisca-pisca.
E só ouve grilo cantar
À noite na fazenda.
Tudo é calmo por aqui.
Nem o vento sopra as folhas
Acho que vento e folha
Também foram dormir
À noite na fazenda
A janela fica aberta
A noite é um véu
Estampadas com estrelas
Minha cortina e o céu
Às vazes saio pra cidade
À noite eu olho para a janela
A cortina é de renda
À noite da cidade
Não é como a noite na fazenda.

È verdade Marisa que as noites passadas numa fazenda ou quinta, nada tem a ver com a cidade que se mora.
