Choro
O choro é natureza, é Deus, é vida
É angelical careta estupefata
Despenhando dos olhos, cataratas
pra amolecer uma alma empedernida...
O choro é céu! É nuvem retorcida
Que vinca ao sentimento, se une, se ata!
E ao se fitar no espelho em mil cascatas
desenhos vê, de su’alma azulecida!...
O choro é frio que se torna quente
É rio que se torna efervescente
e desembocam nos hilos das almas!...
O choro é a orvalhada que se emana
vinda do céu, à natureza humana:
É Deus mostrando-se em gotas de calma!
