Fechem os Jardins
Fechem as portas do jardim
As borboletas são pestes
Vivem zombando de mim
Porque não sou livre como elas
Pousam sobre as flores
Fingem que não estou ali
E se acaso adormeço
Jogam pétalas sobre mim
Mas quando veem o jardineiro
Bailam ao redor deste a sorrir
E se acaso me aproximo sorrindo
Voam para bem longe de mim
Fechem os jardins!
Mandem-nas para longe
As lindas borboletas
Que não ensinou-me a viver!
