Canção para o poeta.

Nossa terra tem palmeiras,
Belas paineiras e
Majestoso jatobá.
Na copa de suas arvore
Canta lindo o sabiá.

As aves que aqui gorjeia
Também gorjeiam lá.
O sabiá chega e completa.
Juntos forma uma orquestra
Entoa uma canção para o poeta.

A natureza que responde.
Nossa terra ainda tem palmeiras
E o sabiá canta aqui, canta ali e canta lá.
Em cada copa há pássaros a gorjear.

Não permita Deus.
Que o verde vire cinza.
Que se acabe a natureza.
Sem beleza para contemplar.
Não há canto ou sabiá.

Nossa terra tem primores
