Terza rima

É belo dentre a cinza ver ardendo
Nas mãos do fumador um bom cigarro,
Sentir o fumo em névoas recendendo...

Do cachimbo alemão no louro barro
Ver a chama vermelha estremecendo
E até... perdoem... respirar-lhe o sarro!

Porém o que há mais doce nesta vida,
O que das mágoas desvanece o luto
E dá som a uma alma empobrecida,
Palavra d'honra, és tu, Ó meu charuto!
