Árvore verde

Árvore verde,
Meu pensamento
Em ti se perde.
Ver é dormir
Neste momento.

Que bom não ser
'Stando acordado !
Também em mim enverdecer
Em folhas dado !

Tremulamente
Sentir no corpo
Brisa na alma !
Não ser quem sente,
Mas tem a calma.

Eu tinha um sonho
Que me encantava.
Se a manhã vinha,
Como eu a odiava !

Volvia a noite,
E o sonho a mim.
Era o meu lar,
Minha alma afim.

Depois perdi-o.
Lembro ? Quem dera !
Se eu nunca soube
O que ele era.
