O OBJETO DO AMOR A DEUS*

O que se ama quando se ama a Deus?
Diferentes conjuntos dessa Divindade
Tantos são as formas desse amor Seu
Tanta grandiosidade há nessa verdade...

Tantas crenças assumem a aparência...
Quais serão os objetos do nosso amor?
Uma luz, uma voz, imagem, essência...
O objeto do amor a Deus não é valor...

É natureza, é alimento, é um abraço
Recebido pelo homem, mas é interior...
É bem, é calma, é confiança e graça,
É brilho da alma, no escuro exterior.

E perfume que o vento já não espalha
É contato e não cessa desejo apurado
Na voz que ressoa, o tempo não cala,
Deus propicia, o que o torna amado...
