Vine Of Deception

Once upon a time there was a love affair.
Vines began to grow around each heart.
One heart was the shape of a rose; blooming
with bright red petals, to show the burning
in his vein for his beloved.

The heart in shape of a carnation had
a pure and deep love for her adored.
The vine wrapped around her heart 
fruitful and as juicy as Chardonnay grapes.

Love given from both hearts began with,
no deception and blossomed in every way.
There was only one hindrance with this
love affair causing the vine of bright
red roses to grow around the fruitful heart;
squeezing it so tight and choking the
fruit of its purple sweet juice.

At the end, too many boundaries had been set
by the rose shaped heart killing all the fruit
of the carnation  heart; a symbol of pure
and deep devotion for the rose shape heart.
