Quando os meus olhos (Mário Quintana)

Quando os meus olhos de manhã se abriram,
Fecham-se de novo, deslumbrados:
Uns peixes, em reflexos doirados,
Voavam na luz: dentro da luz sumiram-se

Rua em rua, acenderam-se os telhados.
Num claro riso as tabuletas riram.
E até no canto onde os deixei guardados
Os meus sapatos velhos refloriram.

Quase que eu saio voando céu em fora!
Evitemos, Senhor, esse prodígio...
As famílias, que haviam de dizer?

Nenhum milagre é permitido agora...
E lá se iria o resto de prestígio
Que no meu bairro eu inda possa ter!...
