Despedidas (Affonso Romano de Sant'Anna)

Começo a olhar as coisas
como quem, se despedindo, se surpreende
com a singularidade
que cada coisa tem
de ser e estar.

Um beija-flor no entardecer desta montanha
a meio metro de mim, tão íntimo,
essas flores às quatro horas da tarde, tão cúmplices,
a umidade da grama na sola dos pés, as estrelas
daqui a pouco, que intimidade tenho com as estrelas
quanto mais habito a noite!

Nada mais é gratuito, tudo é ritual
Começo a amar as coisas
com o desprendimento que só têm os que amando tudo o que perderam
já não mentem.
