Meu Deus eu faço um pedido
Aplaca o meu choro incontido
Que deixa meu coração ferido
Por um assunto mal resolvido

Por saudade de um ente querido
Deixando o meu coração partido
Por ver o seu túmulo esquecido
Só insensível não fica comovido

Sei que o jazigo não é seu abrigo
Pai, Jesus sempre esteve contigo.
Na mansão celestial você está vivo
Mais que um pai você é meu amigo

Os seus passos na terra eu sigo
Seu exemplo não será esquecido
Podem até me chamar de antigo
O homem bom não merece castigo

Sou testemunha e a todos, eu digo.
Em sua vida não acumulou inimigo
Anjo Gabriel o protegeu do perigo
Nestes versos sua jornada eu bendigo
