Era há tantos, tantos anos
que vivias por teu mérito,
cuidando sempre de ti...
que o tempo te ofereceu tempos
pra compensar contratempos
que, bem nova, conheci.
Resignada e sofrida,
tiveste, na tua vida,
enganos e desenganos,
mas esse tempo que amamos
sabia tu teres a crédito
milhões de afectos aqui.
Usaste esses tempos todos
até ao último dia.
Apesar de mil engodos,
minha Mãe, foste calmia
nos meus momentos de dor.
