ELZA BATISTA

E u escrevo com respeito sobre esta mulher guerreira
L indos olhos verdes azulados e um coração de ouro
Z elava pela filha única Cida, sua amiga e companheira
A mparava-a em seus braços como verdadeiro tesouro
B atalhava incansavelmente na busca do pão de cada dia
A dona Elza perde o chão com a morte precoce do marido
T eve que se virar nos trinta, mas ela nunca perdia a alegria
I ndiscutivelmente com honestidade o seu lar era mantido
S ua filha Cida disse-me: Ela gostava dos seus cabelos marrons
T enho certeza que no céu ela está ao lado do esposo querido
A morada celestial acolhe Elza e todos os seres humanos bons
