Gargalhadas

Neste pântano sombrio,
eu ouço gargalhadas
infernais, enquanto 
sou cercada pelos
frios e solitários 
espectros
dos que morreram
perdidos aqui.

Posso ver rostos pálidos,
de olhos encovados e 
bocas escancaradas, 
dizendo-me que daqui
não sairei.

Sinto meu coração pular,
enquanto o medo me paralisa
e minha garganta prende
o grito que quer escapar.

Até quando conseguirei avançar,
até quando fingirei que não 
sinto medo do pântano e dos 
espectros cujas gargalhadas
preveem o meu fim?
