VIDA DE CAIPIRA
Tudo aqui no mato é sonho e poesia,
até em noite de sereno e de garoa fria.
E o nosso boi vai puxando a charrua,
ruminando poema, mastigando a lua.

Aqui não tem porquê não ficar contente,
toda manhã pra nós é um novo presente.
É só olhar em volta e ver quanta beleza.
O dia aqui madruga em ares de princesa.
Tudo aqui parece feito para gente ser feliz.
Por isso a noite vem suave feito meretriz.
Só vamos pra cidade pra ver as meninas,
mas entendemos tudo que o padre ensina.
No domingo, o dia todo dá muita preguiça,
mas, e a gente só cochila se acaba a missa.
A semana que não chove a gente vai pra roça.
Se é chuva ou temporal, a gente senta e coça.
