Elysian Child

Watered dew fell over a skinned body
as the dawn of dreaming shrines crumbled
so future souls wept in shameful solitude
appeased again, diurnal light streams tumbled

echoed forms overcame restraining the firmament
red began blazing my beloved anonymous sky
into moonlit archways conceived divinity was sent
wings spread gently, at last they would fly

glazed eyes conquered planes lost in time
the universe was always too small to abide
scenarios lodged places that somehow were mine
through nebulous skies envisioned a dancing bride

then for centuries it rained over my face
then for centuries it rained over my chest
then for centuries it rained over my heart

in water submerged our breathing had ceased
glimpses left mark less behind her eroded kind
perfection squandered our mortality was released
morrow winds then disdained ghosts left behind

in gone wishes and dying hopes yesterday was swept
wisdom past and fragmented memories were kept
sentient smiles were untwined from the highest stars
past erased leaving nothing more than staled scars

years passed as the rhythm’s shape steadily decayed
as magic was cast back and tranquil rainbows frayed
tears painted unending seas of beautified coastlines
peaceful dawns gone with once reachable times

same shadow whose ancient encounters Elysian found
elder moon oracles and continuums of Life abound
legendary celestial visions condemned to ash and dust
In me I was, In me I see, In me I will trust…

And I will always remember from where I came from
dreamt heavens may have lost their closest son
memories will never forget how I came to be
through the nadir on the sky, the zenith of the sea

I forever know, I forever feel
I forever am a dream of never ending splendor

um dos meus favoritos, já antigo mas... :)

Re: Elysian Child

Asas esparramaram facilmente, afinal eles voariam...

Marne
