I DOURO YOU
Shine me a sun
Of a precious gold,
Wonder of wineland
Forever untold!
Fly me a sky
Of the finest blue,
Stil untouched by
Any wings of dew!
Show me an altar
Of green vineyards made,
Where enchanted bards
Recite in crusade!
Flow me a river
Adrift in my eyes,
Anxious to deliver
The gold I reprise!
My calix shaped heart
drink you as a prayer,

De brilho precioso,
Na terra encantada
Revelada a vinho!
Eleva-me, céu,
Ao mais fino azul,
Não tocado ainda
Por polutas asas!
Reza-me um altar
Em verdes vinhedos,
E estrelas que velam
Bardos em lirismo!
Flui-me nos olhos
Um rio à deriva,
Em ânsias de ler-me
Um refrão sem foz!
Nos lábios, em cálice,
beber-te é oração,
Douro...
