A MUSA E SEU GLADIADOR
A lira toca seu mais lindo acorde
Os serviçais servem de vinho e frutas, os convidados
Nos divãs estão os nobres
Em uma conversa de banalidades
A linda moça dança, mas teme uma fatalidade:
Será que o rei a escolherá para aquela noite?
Um brinde é erguido ao deus Baco
A jovem acaba sua apresentação e se recolhe
Seu coração teme
Não pode ser do rei, ama com fervor
Seu lindo gladiador!
E no meio do burburinho, surge belo rapaz
Vem resgatar sua amada
Com a ajuda de sua espada
O rei nervoso, envia os guardas
Mas o rapaz revida, e salva sua musa
Fogem apressados dali
Vênus abençoou esse amor
E com sua ajuda
Serão felizes, acabou-se o temor...
