Cry in peace

Let me cry,
I want to cry in peace,
don't talk about joy,
don't try to make me
believe in false promises
of future happiness.

I've only fought in vain,
trying to leave this
dark forest in which
I've been abandoned.

Nobody wanted to
hear me or know
how I really felt
about the things
I was forced to 
accept.

So, let me cry
in peace.
Don't disturb
my sorrow.
Don't try
to dry my
bitter tears.
