The Hole In The Chest

In my chest there's a hole,
A hole where my heart used to beat,
A heart that suffered and bled,
Blood that ran through my veins,
Veins that are all over my body,
A body that is full of scars,
Scars made when the blade and the skin had their dates,
The skin that covers my inner me
And exposes my outer self,
But my true me is in my heart
And my heart...
Where is it now?
