CONVERSA COM O TEMPO

Sentei-me à mesa do Tempo
para com ele conversar.
Disse-me ele: - Fala depressa,
tenho muito pouco tempo
para contigo falar!...

Disse-lhe eu: Só tenho
uma pergunta, Tempo:
Porque só andas prá frente
e nunca andas pra trás?!...

Disse-me ele: - Escuta bem,
homem indisciplinado,
se andasse prá frente e pra trás
tu nunca chegavas atrasado!...

Disse-lhe eu:
Maldito sejas tu, Tempo,
isso é ser mau tempo,
isso não se faz!...

Disse-me ele:
- Acabou o teu tempo,
já estás atrasado!...
Disse-lhe eu, inconformado:
- Maldito Tempo,
tu é que estás adiantado,
vai dar horas pra outro lado!...
