E os dias passados
permanecerão à espreita,
lembrando-nos o que
nós não vivemos nem
tivemos coragem de tentar.
Nós andaremos à beira do rio,
perguntaremos se algum dia
chegaremos à outra margem,
pensando nos dias passados,
que pesarão em nossas costas,
obrigando-nos a recordar
o que desejamos esquecer.
