Porque será que gosto tanto dela?
Será que é por ser a cor do sol
Que aquece a terra
Do mar à serra?
Ou então por dar a claridade
Essencial à humanidade
Símbolo de tesouro
Criado também pelo sol
Entranhado na terra
Durante milhões de anos
Amarelo ou amarela
Cor tão singela
Cor do calor e do amor
Aquando dos campos em flor
E mãe de todas as cores
Para uns é cor da sorte
Para outros símbolo de morte
Haverá mesmo assim
Tanta, tanta discrepância
Nos gostos da gente?
Não sei, não sei
Só sei que sempre amei
A cor amarela.
