Ó lavrador que semeias
a terra com rigor,
plantando com muito amor,
batatas, cebolas e couve-flor.

Ser agricultor
homem e senhor,
na arte de terra plantar,
a alegria de tudo semear.

Tu ó lavrador que foste
um grande senhor,
cavando a terra com amor,
com todo o seu saber.

Da terra aproveitar
toda a riqueza trazer,
em nossa mesa colocar,
para todos comer.

Com tua enxada na mão
comendo um naco de pão,
cavando com prazer,
para comer até a noite aparecer.

Difícil é tua vida
como as terras que trabalhas,
daquelas que retiras,
o sustento todos os dias.

Tu lavrador
que semeias
a terra com amor,
nelas vais deixando,
todo o empenho e suor.
