O cerrado todo verde
Parece um longo tapete
Estendido no centro-oeste
O canavial perde-se de vista
Nas margens da Belém-Brasília
De Crichás a Rubiataba
No vale de São Patrício
Reina imponente o Rio das Almas
Divisa entre Ceres e Rialma
A vida segue vibrante
Nas feiras livres e vendas
Na beira das estradas
Compre senhor alho em trança
Melão, coco, melancia, pamonha
E os melhores doces em calda
E na hora do almoço
Sirva arroz com pequi, gariroba
Empadão, leitão, galinhada
O jeito de ser e viver goiano
Não falta uma moda de viola
Um sotaque típico e um gosto pela vida.
