O sepulcro diz à rosa
Que fazes tu flor mimosa
Do orvalho da alva manhã?
Diz a rosa à sepultura:
Que fazes feia negrura
de tanta forma louça?
Negra tumba, segue a rosa
Eu, dessa água preciosa
Faço aroma que é só meu.
Diz-lhe a tumba com afago
De cada corpo que trago
Ressurge um anjo no céu.
