Reino Unido vai inaugurar a TV 'com cheiro

O documentário "Filthy Cities" (Cidades Imundas) vai inaugurar uma nova fase na história da TV: o telespectador vai poder sentir "cheiro na tela". O dispositivo ainda é rudimentar: a pessoa retira cartões em bibliotecas e, ao assistir ao programa da BBC sobre a história sanitária de Londres, Paris e Nova York, pode abrir nele o odor correspondente ao que está vendo na tela.

Segundo a emissora, os cheiros são bem realistas, incluindo os de um curtume, de um perfume fétido de Maria Antonieta e de um sistema de esgoto do século XVIII. Este último, diz a BBC, é terrivelmente ruim, pois lembra o odor de cadáveres em decomposição.
