O RELÓGIO

O RELÓGIO


Incontáveis minutos se passaram,
Seriam horas,
Se ele estivesse prestando atenção nisso.
Mas, o relógio impiedoso teimava em andar
Um tic tac quase mudo,
Um incansável momento, surdo...

Ele apenas olhava, sem ver as horas...
Um objeto com pêndulo, à sua frente.
Quando a hora 'exata' acontecia,
Um ruído estrondoso, a sala envolvia...

Na cadeira de balanço, triste e cabisbaixo,
O ancião apenas se lamentava...
Dias, meses e anos de sua longa vida,
Acompanhados daquele relógio,
Que agora, era sua única companhia...
