A vida flui em degraus...
Nas estações,
do ano,
do ônibus, do trem.
E as pessoas sobem os degraus...
da fome no crescimento
depois revolta,
escola, saúde, emprego que faltam.
A vida flui em degraus...
Olhai o rio e o mar, poluídos
não limparam o que sujaram
e ao banho não proíbem.
Vede as flores neste setembro,
compra, antes que sobrem
folhas mortas ao chão
ou galhos quebrados na queimada.
A vida flui em degraus...
No corpo caído, do pedestre ao pingente,
nas vértebras, nos magros ossos,
no vazio das alças intestinais.
Agora, vê se consegues algumas flores,
quiçá algum pano,
alguma rede,
talvez boa reza, alguma cova ...
A vida flui em degraus...
Na morte pisas-te em falso.
