Neste filme, Zack (Seth Rogen) e Miri (Elizabeth Banks) são dois velhos amigos que dividem a casa e que se encontram atolados em dívidas.
A situação é de tal forma grave que estão dispostos a fazer um filme pornográfico caseiro como forma de conseguirem dinheiro rapidamente.
Como podem imaginar as situações que vão acontecendo em cadeia desde que se decidem por tão original ideia, são simplesmente delirantes.
