Sou um mistério.

Vivo as mil mortes

que todos os dias

morro

fatalmente.

 

Por todo o mundo

o meu corpo retalhado

foi espalhado aos pedaços

em explosões de ódio

e ambição

e cobiça de glória.

 

Perto e longe

continuam massacrando-me a carne

sempre viva e crente

no raiar dum dia

que há séculos espero.

 

Um dia

que não seja angústia

nem morte

nem já esperança.

 

Dia

dum eu-realidade.

 

Agostinho Neto (1922-1979), médico e poeta angolano.
