Never Let Them In Our Mind (Cloudy Day)
I swam through rivers to get to you
I've sailed the oceans in search of food
not one motion of gesture could I forget
gathering nothing, wasting the day away
like sand that you try to hold but slowly slips away
could you prove that water can be turned to wine
looking for a blanket, yet this cold night wind
tangled and knotted sleep
where comfort and fear flow down one river
with a glance and shiver
I was dead than alive
pouring the sugar to no end
movement is what I'm in search of
and reason with meaning
behind the cold eyes of a friend
lies the secret of which one may not know
but yet to find
the ways of the truth
the promise of happiness
foretold through ages
kept secret from the rest
mountain signs collapse within words so obscured
where the no use fisherman sets to sail
with a high wind where the high wave crashes down
delivering a test to a wound on a bandaged face
a test to human kind
but never let them in our minds
