If Time Could Stand Still

If only time would stand still
to tell you how I feel
You might even agree
or admit that its real
Having a crush
I can't approach
Maybe we're afraid of each other
when I stare into your eyes
they speak to one another
Why do we hide the vibes?
Have we both been hurt inside?
careful to show our weak side
Time would allow me to speak upfront
I could practice as you stand before me
telling you all the sweet things, I'd confront
I have thought over and over,
how to say it, how to show it
It's never the right time of day
I get tongue tied to admit
Afraid of what you will say
Might this be how you feel?
Those little things you say and do
send me curious clues
or again, am I just hoping that you
want me as much as I want this seduce
Should I just give you this poem?
chancing a disappointment
Will you laugh in my face"
I would blush in shamefulness

I think you summed up quite well the intense feeling of those emotions we all feel when we have met someone that makes are heart skip a beat... that is a feeling that we all know and enjoy - oh those "vibes" ;)

Thank you for the kind review/comment, this isn't one of my favorite poems but it became a hit to other readers

from the start, i guess many can relate to the situation, i wrote it at a moment in my life that i was sincerely

interested in a gentleman myself, his looks, his smell, his ways.lolwink

 

 

btw, can you explain why there are initials/letter  (da) by some of my poems
