Poda da Amendoeira (Gabriela Mistral)
A amendoeira eu podo e o céu vejo
com as minhas mãos enfim purificadas,
como se apalpam as faces amadas
com o semblante enlevado do desejo.
Como crio na estrofe mais sincera
em que o meu sangue vivo há-de correr,
preparo o coração pra receber
o sangue imenso que há na Primavera.
Dá o meu peito à árvore o seu latido
e escuta o tronco, na seiva escondido,
meu coração como um cinzel profundo.
Os que me amavam julgam-me perdida
e é só o meu peito, aí sustido
na amendoeira, a minha entrega ao mundo.
