Lamentos *
Bate o bumbo
pra fazer esquecer a seca
que arde por dentro do corpo.
Bate o bumbo
pra fazer esquecer a faca seca
que rasga por dentro da carne.
Batem os bumbos do país
num sonho
sem travesseiros e cama.
Bate o silêncio
e disfarçam o medo, digerem o desejo
e voltam à enxada sem futuro.
Bate o bumbo
pra se colorir o rosto pálido
no cartão postal da ilusão.
Passam os meses
e nada de Maria.
Batem os bumbos
e passam os vermes sobre a fome.
Batem os bumbos
e passam os bois do vizinho.
Batem os bumbos
e o músico caminha
levando no bucho como chumbo
a tristeza de só ter o bumbo pra reclamar.
