Alcochete fez história
cheia de honra e glória,
seu filho viu nascer
na nobreza rei deu.
Alcochete ficou a ser
terra de honragens passagens,
toda a fidalguia,
Alcochete acolhia.
Nosso rei nosso irmão
nasceu cá então,
não esqueceu porém,
que orgulou a nação.
Das conquistas que fez
Alcochete as assinalou,
um pelourinho ergueu,
por tudo que aconteceu.
A história sempre lembrará
deste grande senhor,
que um dia porém,
em Alcochete nasceu.
Portugal reinou
muito conquistou,
em Lisboa morreu,
o país, grato a ele ficou.
