Cantei ao silêncio da noite lavrada

Sobre o branco espumado do mar

Encosta de luz prateada

Grito de terra por alimentar

Cantei, quanto me podes dar

Sorrindo para não chorar

Cantei, quando o sonho foi em vão

Quando desejei te alcançar

Cantei lamentos do coração

Sobrando à vida, para te amar

E sempre soube, tanto que amei

Por tudo quanto em mim deixei.
