Quem é aquele menino
Sujo triste e maltrapilho
Qual será o seu destino
De quem deve ser filho
Todos os dias ele sai
De sinaleiro em sinaleiro
Ninguém conhece o seu pai
Muito menos o seu paradeiro
Seu olhar triste e sempre com fome
Mãos estendidas a pedir um trocado
Não aparenta ser de família de bom nome
Antes é pela sociedade rejeitado
Nunca freqüentou a escola
Mais é filho desta nação
Sua sobrevivência é a esmola
Seu futuro a casa de detenção
É filho desta terra é da mesma gente
É abraçado pelos traficantes
Quem sabe adotar este inocente
Seria seu amanhã mais brilhante
Sente a rejeição bem no profundo
Com outras crianças não pode brincar
É da rua sujo e imundo
Sua infância vê se acabar
É filho dos ares e do vento
Seu teto é as nuvens do céu
Sua cama é papelão ao relento
Seus dias são triste e cruel
Esta é a realidade de uma nação
O que os governantes ignoram
Filhos da terra aguardam sua adoção
Por socorro seus olhos choram
