Cerca de 13 mil judeus são presos num único dia em Paris.

Depois de concentrados por uma semana, são enviados para a morte nas câmaras de gás em Auschwitz.

A pequena Sarah e seus pais estão entre as muitas pessoas brutalmente arrancadas de casa pela polícia.

Michel, irmão mais novo a garota, se esconde em um armário e Sarah o tranca lá dentro.

Ela fica com a chave, pois acredita que em poucas horas estará de volta.
