A árvore está viva
As árvores que falavam
Pelos ventos
Na luta constante
Folhas contra folhas
Folhas grandes e pequenas
Sol e chuva não as alegravam.
Eram folhas cansadas
De ouvir o ronco triste do motor
Que as devoravam.
Lá está mais um tronco
Exposto ao relento
Mas, em meu coração
A árvore está viva
Só os fantasmas aparecem
Nas curvas da solidão
De uma plantação
Em terras desertas
Sem árvores
Sem vida...
