A dinastia Quing é o palco de uma brutal guerra civil onde morrem cerca de 50 milhões de chineses em combate ou de fome.
Jet Li é a estrela de um filme repleto de cenas de acção e com uma recriação história muito interessante.
Adaptado do livro "The Assassination of Ma", sobre o assassinato do General Ma Xinyi, o filme inspira-se em factos verídicos, mas tem muito espaço se manobra para a acção de que este tipo de títulos necessita.
