Suspiros

Ingredientes

12 unidades.
3 claras
sal fino
220 g de açúcar granulado fino

Preparação

Ligue o forno e regule-o para os 140°C.

1. Deite as claras na batedeira eléctrica, junte uma pitada de sal fino e bata até começarem a fazer espuma.

2. Vá adicionando o açúcar lentamente e sem parar de bater. Continue a bater durante mais 6 a 7 minutos na velocidade máxima.

3. Forre o tabuleiro de forno com papel vegetal. Com a ajuda de uma colher, distribua o merengue em montinhos do tamanho que desejar para os suspiros. Se preferir, coloque o merengue dentro dum saco pasteleiro munido de um bico largo e distribua o merengue sobre o tabuleiro.

4. Coloque o tabuleiro no forno numa das posições mais baixas e deixe cozer durante cerca de 1 hora ou até os suspiros estarem secos e estaladiços.

Sugestão
Experimente perfumar o merengue com raspa da casca de lima ou de limão ou adicionar-lhe um pouco de suco de raiz de gengibre ralada.
