I must believe in spring again …
As heras passam, passam
P’lo meu corpo inteiro,
As aves voam, esvoaçam
Sob minhas raízes d’pinheiro,
Ai..se eu fosse marinheiro,
Não mais morreria afogado,
Traria do mar o cheiro frio
D’um beijo d’mar abastado
E das madrugadas d’outras heras,
P’rós cheirar nas searas viradas
P’lo vento, o cheiro a aguaceiros
E na erva brandura próprio delas,
Da seiva não sei, minh’alma é calma
QB e a chuva é lenta também, se arrasta
Nas madrugadas e no trigo casto,
Trago no coração ruim amigo,
Aí os corvos esvoaçam o dia inteiro,
Sob estas minhas raízes enterradas,
Nem sei se chore ou se rio,
Ou qual desses primeiro e a fio,
