Neste filme, os nossos vizinhos bifes são atacados por um vírus mortal, que os obriga a criar uma zona de contaminação isolada por muros.
Sem saberem o que fazer, as autoridades deixam a doença a marinar em banho-maria, até que anos mais tarde decidem investigar o que aconteceu.
É ai que Rhona Mitra entra em cena, a liderar uma força de elite para se deparar com um universo apocalíptico de violência, inspirada nos antigos filmes de Mel Gibson.
